I’ll be blunt with you. You don’t own an online business to make money. Don’t believe me? Just hear me out. The real reason you own an online business is to do the things that money allows you to do. Life is short. It is precious. We really want the time to do the things that deep in our heart feel right for us. Here are seven real reasons to own an online business.

1. To live a life with a purpose. There is so much power, and so much joy in knowing that your life means something, and that others are better off because you lived. In what ways do you want to live a purposeful life?

For each person it’s different, but rest assured that everyone possesses this desire, even if many people have all but forgotten about it.

2. To leave a legacy, and to give your descendants the opportunity to live extraordinary lives. Maybe this doesn’t make sense to you, and maybe it does. But your actions today will effect people for many generations to come.

You have the blessed opportunity to provide people that you’ll never meet with a better quality of life. This is probably an article in itself, and I’ll stop here, but if this hits home for you, use it to your full advantage, and to the advantage of others.

3. To develop human relationships. For you, this could include the chance to be an awesome father, son, mother, grandmother, or granddaughter, and so on. The most important thing, and in fact the only thing that really matters, is our relationships with others.

4. To develop as a human being. I haven’t met you, although I hope I do someday, but I know that you have a deep longing for a number of things. One of these desires is the desire to do things that you’ve always loved doing, and that you were good at doing, but haven’t been able to do because you were bound by a job.

I’m not knocking jobs, but if you have a deep knowing that jobs aren’t for you, then you really have no choice to go after your dreams, and what’s really important to you in life.

5. To have the time and money to do things that you may have never dreamed of doing. With each passing day, you probably discover more and more things you would like to do if you were able, such as travel to exotic locations, and take up new and exciting hobbies. Visit thebluefish.com and you’ll see exactly what I mean.

6. To be able to relax. By relax, I don’t mean get two days off a week from your job. I don’t consider that real relaxation. Personally, I don’t even like thinking about going to a job. And until I’m financially independent, I don’t believe I’ll be completely free to relax. That’s just me though.

7. To enrich the lives of others through your online business. This is a no-brainer, but it never hurts to remind oneself that

How do you remove permanent marker stains from carpet? Well, the bad news is that it’s called “permanent” marker for a reason. Depending on how new and how deep the stains are, you may not be able to remove them completely.

You can almost always lighten stains, though, and sometimes make them unnoticible. There are other things you can do to hide the stain as well. Start with the method here to get out as much as you can.

First, thoroughly vacuum the area. This removes any loose dirt, dust or other substances that might give you trouble when you work on the stain.

For the carpet stain removal solvent, use rubbing alcohol or a non-oily hairspray. Use a small amount on a clean white cloth, and dab at the stain. You should see transfer of the stain to the cloth. Use another dry cloth to blot up the solution between applications.

Just apply the solution and blot it up several times. Then rinse the spot with clean water and blot that up. Finally, dry the area thoroughly.

Get Out The Remaining Stain

If you couldn’t get it all out, and if the stain isn’t too deep, it’s time to cut out some carpet - just a little. Try snipping away the stained edges with small scissors or with a razor blade or exacto knife. Use tweezers to carefully pull out severely stained fibers.

When you try the latter, you might want to remove clean carpet strands from another, hidden area in the room, and then glue them into the stained area. Then leave a heavy object on the spot for several days before walking on it. That’s how you remove permanent marker in all but the worst cases.

Steve Gillman has worked in the carpet cleaning industry for years. For more carpet-care information, and specific stain-by-stain removal instructions, visit http://www.HowToRemoveCarpetStains.com

Fraud is a huge issue when it comes to the Internet, and if you operate an e-commerce website then it should be one of your main concerns. Your potential customers will not want to buy from you unless they feel 100% certain that their information is encrypted and secure and that their credit card numbers will not be stolen in the order process. There are several things you can do to protect your website against fraud.

Tip #1 Fraud Detection Service

This type of service will help ensure the person entering the credit card information is indeed the owner of the credit card, although this service does not completely eliminate risk altogether. For instance, fraud detection service will ask for an address verification to compare the address on file with the credit card company. A match will let you continue, and if there is not a match it will not. However, addresses of individuals can be found online as well, so a determined thief can get past this mechanism. Although, it is still worthwhile to have in place because it will reduce fraud.

Tip #2 Credit Card Verification Codes

These are the three numbers on the back of your card or the four numbers on front of your American Express card. When a website asks for these numbers you will have to look at the card to enter the information. So, for someone to engage in fraud they will not only have to have your credit card numbers but also your credit card. This cuts down on fraud because most of the time credit card numbers are stolen online and not the actual card. So, when this information is asked for generally only an individual with the credit card can enter it. While someone can still steal your credit card and shop online, this is less likely to happen because you will recognize the card as missing and cancel it. On the other hand, if your credit card number is stolen you will not necessarily know that until you receive a statement.

Tip #3 Website Design

In general, fraud protection services are important to have, but these should be paired with a website design that also resists fraud and fraudulent activities. Companies will have to spend extra money to ensure fraud is not taking place, but in the long run it will save them money and protect their customers, which is what is most important. Websites should be designed with the latest technology to resist hackers and protect the integrity of the website. Great care should be taken to avoid problems at all costs.

The most important thing you can do is to learn about Internet fraud and ways to protect yourself, your website, and your customers, before you ever go online. That way, you will be better prepared to fight fraud online.
